Eveline Eaton
Thursday 22 March 2018

Pablo Picasso is the most famous artist ever. This lecture will trace the development of the artist's long life (1881 - 1973) and career from his highly accomplised beginnings in a traditional style via a variety of artistic experiments to the invention of a totally new way of seeing:- Cubisim, Painter; draughtsman, sculptor and ceramicist, Picasso revolutionised all hitherto accepted modes.  Twentieth century art cannot be understood without assesssing Picasso's important achievements.
